In My Time of Dying / Led Zeppelin 【和訳】

Led Zeppelinのアルバム「Physical Graffiti」の収録曲。

トラディショナルの曲らしく、「Jesus Make Up My Dying Bed」という題名でも呼ばれています。

また後にボブ・ディランが演奏したバージョンもあります。このバージョンの作曲者にはボブ・ディランが入っています。（向こうのCompositには、ボーカルのメロディラインだけでなく、アレンジとしてという意味もあります）

ボブ・ディランのバージョンもまあまあ有名になったようですが、今となってはツェッペリンバージョンが有名でしょう。

ツェッペリンの歌詞は、出だしがボブ・ディランバージョンと同じです。演奏は全然違います。

またトラディショナルのブルースギターの演奏は、比べても原型をとどめていないと言うか、元の曲がこれって言われなければ、気付ける人はいないのではないでしょうか。

ちなみにツェッペリン版の作曲者の名前には、メンバー四人の名前のみが入っています。ツェッペリンが新しくアレンジをしたということですね。

そんな風に、だんだん成長して形を変えていった曲という側面がある曲です。

またツェッペリンの曲としては最長の曲。（2位はIn through the outdoorのCarouselrambla、3位はアキレス）

ツェッペリンらしい、即興的で熱い演奏が続く曲です。

歌詞は、死ぬ前に色々と、特に天国のことを想像する様子

いいことした、悪いことした、最後に気持ちが舞い上がる（即興？）、そんな感じでしょうか

少なくとも最後のCoughは、（おそらく）ボンゾがした咳に合わせた即興でしょう笑
