訳注～OneとThe oneについて

曲名にも歌詞中にも出てくるthe one~

意味としてoneは、ある同種の中の一つ、という意味を持ちます。

例えば、

I loved my dog.（私は犬が好きだった）

の後に、

I'll find one.

とつなげる場合、oneは犬ですが、最初の犬(my dog)とは別の犬かもしれません。
居なくなってしまったから、死んでしまったからなど、何かわけがありそうです。

これがoneではなくitだと、itは代名詞で前に出てきたそのものを指し示します、

例えば、

I loved my dog.

のあとに

I find it.
であれば、itは最初にでてきた犬（my dog）と全く同じ犬になります。

そしてthe one~は直訳すれば、～する一つ、～する一人

今回は文脈から、「「君」にとっての男、恋人（上の例えでいう犬）」のうちの一人、という意味とも取れます（何もなければ、ただ人一人のことを指すのが一般的）

文中であれば（「君」にとっての）自分を欲してくれるような(恋)人、抱きしめてくれるような(恋)人、、、、みたいに使われていますね

でも、oneというのがどういうたぐいのものを指すかは明言されていないので、恋人と書くような直接的表現より弱く感じるところです。大抵は～する人、という意味で解釈される言葉なので。

君を抱きしめたい(I want to hold you)、じゃないし、
君を抱きしめる恋人になりたい(I want to be your lover to hold you)でもなく、
君を抱きしめるような(恋)人になるつもり(I'll be the one to hold you)

ちょっと日本語的にも回りくどい言い方には感じるかもしれませんが、the oneの連呼にはそういう雰囲気があります。

the one~は、雰囲気としては「～をする（人）」くらいの意味なので、毎回「～する一人」、のようにそこまで訳文に書くことは一般的にも多くない気がします。（日本語だとわざとらしくなるので）
今回は書いたほうがわかりやすいかなと思った場所では書いています。

the oneが恋人、そして2行目の意味を酌めば

→僕はいなくなった「恋人」をものにする「恋人」になるつもりさ

訳文の後者の恋人（英文の前者のthe one）は、「君にとっての恋人」で間違いはないと思います

が、前者の恋人(英文では後者のthe one)は色々考え方がありそうです。が、おおよそ「君」の中の恋人像だとか昔の恋人の面影のことでしょう。そういう過去への想いをまとめて取りさらってあげるよ、みたいな雰囲気だと思います。
