意味やメモ

Imagine Dragonsの曲。2011年にEP「It's Time」に収録されたほか、後にアルバム「Night Visions」で北アメリカ版にのみ収録されました

歌詞は、アメリカは辛いことがあった、けど、アメリカが世界一であることが自分の誇りであり生活のためなのだから、がんばれ。

という感じ。

解釈の一つですが、

20年が何なのかはよくわかりませんが、この曲のリリース時期はちょうどリーマンショックに連なる世界金融危機の直後

収入は安定してたけど、「それは全部幻想だったのだろうか」、みたいな感じでしょうか

1776は、独立宣言の出た年でありまた同時多発テロで破壊された貿易センター第一ビルの高さ（フィート換算）でもあり、

アメリカにとって因縁が深い数字です。

この数字を掲げることで栄枯盛衰のようなものを表しているのでしょう。
