邦題は「孤独のメッセージ」
イギリスで初チャート1位を取る他、世界的に大ヒットし、今でも時々聴くことがあるのではないでしょうか
印象的なイントロのギターリフが有名ですね。
歌詞は、漂流した遭難者が島からメッセージをだすが、他にもたくさんの人が一人で遭難していたということに気づくというもの。
裏の意味としては、人はだれしも孤独である。ということのようです。
